I will greatly appreciate an answer to my question. I was on your site and couldn't find that it had been asked before but I'm sorry if it was. I play in a weekly home game tournament, and haven't ran into this scenario before.

My question is if I raise all-in and get called by the short stack and by one other player with a larger stack and the big stack player wins the hand which one of us losers places higher, the one who had more chips at the start of the hand or the one with the higher ranked five cards during that hand.

Hi Thomas,
You would place higher in the scenario you describe. If several players get knocked out in the same hand in a tournament the player who had the most chips going in to the hand will place the highest.
