Which Flush Wins the Pot

Question:

We were playing Texas Hold'em tonight and something came up and none of us knew who won. On the board was all hearts with A,T,6,4,8. I had a J of hearts and someone else had a 5 of hearts in his hand. The question is this: Is it a push because it's simply an Ace high flush, OR do I win with my J making it the higher Flush?

In all forms of poker your goal is to create the best possible five-card hand. In this situation, your best hand is a flush with A J T 8 6 while the other player's best hand is a flush with A T 8 6 5. Consequently, you win the pot by holding a higher flush.
