I was invited to a low limit Texas Hold'em fun tournament with a bunch of guys from the office. I have a new job and this was a great opportunity to meet the guys I was working for. I do not play Texas Hold'em. The night before the tournament yesterday) I read up on the rules. I've played before but it had been so long I had forgotten the basic rules and didn't want to walk in knowing nothing. I then "googled" strategy and found your website to get some pointers. Your narrative was easily to follow and within 15-20 minutes I had an understanding of basic strategy. Strategy I would not have figured out on my own in such a short time. I walked into the Tournament with 11-guys from the office. We had a $10 buy-in. I played consistently meaning that my pot always grew slow but sure regardless of my cards. Several people lost out early and we allowed them to re-buy. The pot grew to $180. In the end I won. Several there were regular on-line poker players. Of course luck has something to do with winning but I believe, beyond any doubt, that I won tonight because I applied your basic strategy. So - Thank you.

I want to let you know a few things regarding the articles "notes" that you've posted on your site. The information you provide is a gift to the world of poker. It's very difficult for me to express in words just how helpful your articles have been to me. I'll try to list for you exactly why they are TRULY brilliant and genius pieces of literature:

1)YOU GIVE EXAMPLES AT EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIMES. You are so in touch with other people that you know when something that you've said might be a little confusing, and thus, need clarification. I think that this truly separates you from the pack. I've read good information from clearly, experienced players. But ONLY YOU seem to understand the value of providing a scenerio show how that strategy applies to the game.

If there's anyway that I can support your work i.e. buy a book, register for something, ect.ect. PLEASE let me know. I support quality products, and your advice articles are WITHOUT A DOUBT some of the most valuable (as in: useful, understandable, applicable, ect.) information available on the web. To a 3 year amatuer that is coming up in the ranks, your articles are worth their weight in gold. You are a great man, Thank you!
