Weight of Poker Tournament Chips?

Question: In the Holdem tournaments do you know what the weight of the chips they use are?

Answer: Yes as a matter of fact I do know. Chips usually weigh between 8-11.5g. The heavier the better. Clay chips are nicer than plastic but they are harder to clean. If you are looking for buying chips, I would suggest clay ones that weigh 11.5g. Make sure they don't have lead in them for added weight.
