Splitting Pot/Best Hand Questions...
2. If the best 5 cards are on the table-would you simply split the pot?
Example: 2 pair on the table, 5 pair low and an Ace. In one hand is a 3 and 4 - the other a 2 and a 3. Would the hand with the 4 win?
We have been looking for an answer to these 2 questions.......thanks!

1.The answer to your first question is no. You don't have to use one of your cards. Sometimes you "play the board" which means you use all the five community cards. That happens pretty often actually.
2. Yes that is correct. If the best five cards are on the table, then everyone splits the pot. If there is an uneven amount of chips, the extra chip goes to the person who was first in order of turn. Before I answer the example, I want to make sure I understand the cards. If one person has 2-3 and the other guy has 3-4 and the board is AA55x then the person with the 3-4 would always win (unless the last card was a 4 because that would make the 2-3 a straight).
But if the board was AA556, then they would split the pot because they would both have the same hand. Neither one of them could beat the board. Another thing to point out here is that there isn't a "three pair" hand. Let's say the flop was AA4KK and you have TT and your buddy has Q4. You had him the whole way until that last K hit on the river, then your hand is just AAKKT and he has AAKKQ.
