Not Being Able To Reraise
Question: I have a situation I was wondering if you could help me understand the rules and let me know what's right or wrong. I was playing No Limit Texas Holdem at PokerStars and I was in a situation that the program would not allow me to raise. I believe I should have been allowed to raise. Blinds $100/$200. I was small blind with QT of hearts. Two people called $200, I called $100 and the BB checked (leaving him $435 left in chips). The flop was Kc 9c Jh giving me the straight. I bet $400, the BB raised all in to $435. The other two people called the $435. When the bet came back to me, the software only allowed me to call the $35 and did not allow me to raise. The other two people were not all in.
Now I am argueing that I should have been allowed to re-raise the $35. Do you know what's right or wrong?
PS. I love your site and your articles.

Answer: I think the rule is that you aren't allowed to reraise unless the all-in raise is equal to half or more of the original bet. So if the guy had $600 total left and went all-in when you bet $400, I think you could complete the bet and then reraise. I'm assuming that is what PokerStars has as well but I'm not certain.
