Kill And Reserved Buttons

Question: My question is what are the Reserved and Kill Buttons used for? I have seen these buttons for sale with big and small blinds buttons.

Answer: A reserved button is used to signify a seat at the table being taken, either by a new player, by someone changing seats, or by someone who went bust and has to go to the ATM to get more money. A kill button is used to signify the current being being in "kill" state.

A kill pot is when the blinds and betting double. Not all cardrooms have kill games. When someone wins a pot, the kill button is sent over to them. If that person wins another pot in a row, then the next hand is a kill pot. For a $20/40 kill game, the kill pot would then be a $40/80. It continues like this until the player loses.

When it is a kill pot, the "killer" is forced to put in a blind. The killer is also last to act in the hand preflop. So the basics of a kill game are: you have to win twice in a row, post a big blind, and the betting doubles and continues like that until you lose.
