Kickers - Best Five Cards Win

This hand came up last night at my house and we argued about who wins for at least an hour and still feel we didn't get it right. Hopefully you could answer this.
OK 2 players left player A has K 2 don't worry about the suits because that never came into question player B has K 9 the 5 community cards are A K J 10 5
My question is who wins the pot and why?

Answer: Both players have the same hand. In texas holdem, the best five cards win out of the 2 personal cards and 5 community cards.
Player A has: KKAJT
Player B has: KKAJT
For Player B to have won the hand instead of splitting it, the turn card would have had to be a 9 or smaller (instead of a Ten). Then his kicker would have "played."
