How Much Is A Rack?
Question: Hello there, I was reading one of your articles about being loose and tight. I read something about a $4/8 rack. Since I am sorta new, I was wondering what one of those was. I saw you won 1000 with 12 racks and just couldn't add it up. I looked up the question page and didn't read any articles about it. Maybe I skimmed over it and maybe it was there. If you could please tell me what a rack is I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Answer: I probably didn't list what a rack was. A rack is 100 chips. It comes in a plastic tray with 5 stacks of 20 chips each. For low limit games like $2/4, $3/6, and $4/8 you use $1 chips so a rack is $100. For $6/12 and $8/16 you use $2 chips which means a rack is $200. For $9/18 you use $3 chips. $10/20, $15/30 and $20/40 you use $5 chips. Then it keeps going up to games like $100/200 where you have a rack of black (black chips are $100 each). As for me saying at that little game I won $1000 with 12 racks, I was probably in for $300 before I started winning.
