Exposed Turn Card Correction

Question: First let me say that your site is full of GREATinformation. I am a casino poker dealer and casual player and as such I am always looking for information to improve both my dealing and playing. I found a question about an exposed turn card and thought I would tell you how we handle it in our poker room. (Little River Casino Resort, Manistee, Michigan)

This is how we correct this when it occurs:

The turn card is set aside and action is completed for the flop betting round. Upon completion of the action the dealer burns a card and turn up the card that would have been the 'river' card and the betting round is started.

Upon completing this betting round the dealer will shuffle the remaining cards including the card exposed originally for the turn and then turn the river card without burning a card. By following this method the only card changed will be the card exposed at the turn and that card still has a chance of coming out on the river.

Again GREAT SITE.
