Burn And Turn Too Early

Question: Hi there,

Was wondering whether you could help me out. Myself and my friends were playing a (kinda) friendly game of holdem when the following situation arose:

Top 3 Beginner Rooms

Four players in to see the flop. The first to act makes a bet and the next two players call that bet. Before the last player gets a chance to act, the dealer deals the turn card. After much deliberation, we just gave everybody back the chips and started the hand again all the while knowing that there had to be a better solution to it than that!! Any help is appreciated,

Thanks,

Rob

Answer:

In situations like this, the goal is to keep everything the same as it can be. You want to preserve the bets that have already been wagered, as well as the cards. The best way to accomplish this, is to reshuffle and reburn and turn. The dealer would stop after he made the mistake and then place the burn and turn cards back in the deck, reshuffle, and redeal them at the appropriate time.
