Big Blind Twice In A Row
Question: I had an issue in a pot-limit tournament on ***** ***** that I would appreciate your opinion on. My chip stack was approximately 3 ½ times the big blind. There were 6 people at my table 4 people joined while a hand was in progress. I was the big blind during this hand, was raised and folded. The very next hand the button moved to where a player had just joined and I was in the big blind again. I was raised and folded. The next hand I was the small blind which put me all in. I lost and finished 24th when 20th place paid. I took the issue up with their customer support and requested a refund. They denied my request saying that although I was at a disadvantage this time that there would be times when I would have an advantage. I do not believe this to be a valid argument. I would like to know if you agree or disagree with me. If you agree, do you have any suggestions on any recourse I might have.
Thanks in advance Don

Answer: Yeah, that isn't right and you have a legitimate complaint. Most of the online sites distribute the blinds in the easiest way and that isn't always the fairest. The first priority should be given to players already seated to make sure no one gets big blinded twice in a row or gets the button twice. But one rule trumps all other rules and that is, "house rules rule."
