Betting After Player Goes All-In
Question: My family and I were playing Texas Holdem tonight and we are all pretty much beginners. There were three of us left in the game. I went all-in with a small pot. The other two players both had more chips than I did and both called my bet. We had only seen the flop when I went all in and they called. The other two cards had not been turned over. After I called all-in, should the other two players have continued to bid on the turn and river card? Or do the other two cards just get flipped with no more side bidding with the other two players?

Answer: Yes, after a player goes all-in, the remaining players in the hand can remain betting; this is what all-ins and side pots are for. What should happen in your case is that you just keep your cards face down, and they continue their betting. The betting amount that goes over what you already wagered goes into a second pot (a "side pot"). Then at the end of the hand, there are two winners. There is a winner for the main pot which anyone of you can win, and then there is a winner for the side pot, who only the two other people can win.
