Answer: I just got done reading an article about one of the reasons why a poker writer doesn't like playing online. He started off by talking about a hand that he lost. He had KK vs 88 in no limit. He ended up losing his whole stack because the flop came back all low and he went all-in. The person had 88 and caught an 8 on the turn card to win. He went on to go through a number of big tables that showed his odds and how bad of a play the other person made.
Then he finished by saying that the reason he doesn't like online play is because people play wild and are capable of making horrible plays that they would be too embarrassed to do offline. I stopped and had to reread the article to make sure I wasn't mistaken. To my surprise, he is actually complaining about people making bad calls and how he doesn't like it. Isn't that how you make money in poker, by people playing badly?
Another thing that popped into my head was does anyone actually make all those calculations in their head when they are playing no limit? I sure don't. I don't think it would be possible to. The first thing I'm thinking about if someone goes all-in with me on the flop when I have an over pair is that I've lost to a set or minimum two pair. I mentioned this in the article for learning no limit. That's one of the best ways to make money in no limit is to trap this type of player when he has a big pair. Then all he can do afterwards is complain about how you didn't play well.
What about bluffing? Did the writer forget about this as well? Or maybe the guy even thought his 88 was the best hand. Who knows. The point is that you should seek out games where people are playing badly. Why would you want to play in games where everyone was making correct moves?
