NL All-in Fest

Question: Hi,

Great site...lots of good info.

Got a question:

What to do during NL: Holdem tournament play when its an all in fest, right from the beginning to the latter stages. I do well when I get to see the flop, but when you leave it up to chance, its just that. If I wait them out and play tight, I become so far behind in chips I have to go all in or get bullied by the big stacks. If I play the all in game its just a matter of chance, sometime I make it, and sometimes I don't. What is your suggestion on how to handle this?

Thanks,

John

Answer: That sounds like it isn't real money. That would be my first suggestion is to play for cash. Secondly, if literally everyone is going all-in preflop on everyhand then just gamble with them. If you miss, play another one, if you hit you'll have a big chip stack and you can play well in later rounds. If you are going to gamble play hands with straight and flush potential.
