ESPN Tilt Show Error
In their fictional game last week, a father/son end up as adversaries in this particular hand. The father has Jack/trey and the son Jack/deuce. The flop is Jack-ten-eight. (I could be wrong on the ten and eight, but they were not significant to the hand) the turn was another insignificant or meaningless card, a five I think and the river was also not important to the hand. Nobody paired on the turn or river. Isn't the ultimate outcome of this hand a tie? Both have a pair of Jacks with ten, eight, five high and shouldn't they split the pot? However, in this instance, the show gave the father the winning hand because his trey was higher than the son's deuce. . . . . ? I know there was no flush or straight involved in the final outcome. It all came to bear on the father having the higher hole card with his Jack - the trey, as opposed to his son holding only a deuce with his Jack. Is this correct? I don't think so.

It always annoys me when on TV everything becomes so stereotypical. Just for once I would love to see a commercial that didn't show someone having a royal flush or four aces. You would think that if they spent so much money on the commercial or show, they would at least do their research and figure out that most people don't play draw poker. I've also heard that there are a lot of errors in the movie Rounders, all though I still liked that movie when I saw it a while ago.
