Question about WPT controversy: Update

Question:

Thank-you for your reply. I was surprised with your reply, since on your internet site under "Don't muck winning hands", the example used was very similiar to my situation at the WPT. As written on your web-site, "The rule is clear: If your cards touch the muck, it is considered a fold. It doesn't matter if the cards are face-up or face-down".

Please explain.

Thank-you,
Catherine.

Answer:

Hi again Catherine,

The problem is that there are no standard rules for poker tournaments, like there are in Tennis, for example. If the WPT rules states that "tabled cards that are face-up after a called all in bet, remain in play," there is nothing else the floor manager can do.
