Pocket queens against five players?

Question:

How would you play pk Q's in the early stages of an online tourney after a raise UTG and 4 callers?

I ask this question because this hand happened to me recently in an online tourney where I faced a tough decision, because just calling would merely let all those other players see a flop whereas if I raised there is the possibility that I'm facing AA or KK.

Hi Patrick

Some more information would be useful here. Is the raiser a tight player? What is the buy-in for the tournament? What is the blind structure like? Generally this is a good spot to re-raise though. Against five other player queens can be very tricky to play, and you need to thin down the field pre-flop. The raiser could have AA or KK but that is a chance you have to take. Normally I would put 3 to 4 times the orginal raise in the pot.
