Losing to a meglomaniac fish

I just suffered the worst two in a row bad beats of my life.

Top 3 Beginner Rooms

I spot a meglomaniac fish in the 25 max Bodog room and sat down. He had about 100$ i started with 20$.

I outplayed him and i was up about 50$ and he was now down about 60$. I was dealt A10 offsuit, he raised (he raised with all sorts of hands), I called and the flop came A10x. He fired, I re-raise, he re-reraised, I go all in, he calls and turns over AQ. I go YES! Turn Q river Q :@ :@ :@ it was absolutely disheartening.

I take a walk, I take the steam off and come back, I see everyone taking a lot of money from him, everyone was exploiting him so I sat agian with 25$. I'm dealt A8 and I manage to see a flop and it comes A6x two hearts. He fires like 2$, someone else calls, I re-raise to test the waters. The donk re-reraises me, the calling guy folds, I call knowing he re-raises with anything.

Turn comes blank and he fires about 10$. I put him on a flush draw so I go all in, he calls. On the turn he had 62 something like that with a heart draw and then the river comes heart....50 bucks dumped into the trash after making excelent decisiones and the most disheartening thing was to see everyone exploiting him, taking so much money, players much inferior then me and he sucked out only on me and twice

I worked hard winning freerolls and making it through levels and then this happens...How do u guys deal with things like this that make u think to quit poker

Answer:

In situations like this you have to think about the long run. In the long run, it's a good thing to be playing against "meglomaniac fish", even if it hurts when they get lucky and beat you. Just keep playing your game!
