Spectacular high-stakes action and wild low-stakes games!

Stand-alone poker room

Ladbrokes is a classic British sports book which runs its own poker operation. The poker site uses a customized version of the Microgaming software, but Ladbrokes has its own games and player base. It's not one of the bigger sites when it comes to player traffic, but there are still plenty of Texas Hold'em games running at all levels (other playing form such as Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Five-Card Stud and Five-Card Draw are available as well.)

Home of high-stakes

Throughout the years, Ladbrokes Poker has been known for spectacular high-stakes games. The action has been a little slow for a while but the site had a revival with the Ladbrokes Legends Reunion in October 2007. Today, the young Swede Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson is the most active and successful high-roller at Ladbrokes.

With loose low-stakes games

The short-handed tables and turbo games at Ladbrokes Poker are generally wild with high view-flop percentages. I love playing against players who just scored big in the sports betting section or casino section at Ladbrokes. These players often have limited Texas Hold'em skills, and are willing to donate some of their easy-earned money to their opponents.

Multi-tabling

To take maximum advantage of the loose Hold'em games at Ladbrokes, I often play on several tables simultaneously. You are allowed to play at up to eight tables at once, which definitely is enough to ensure a decent hourly profit, even at the low-stakes tables. Other nice features included in the software are the possibility to takes notes on opponents, real-time stats on your own game, extensive hand history, and an informative lobby (with viewed-flop percentage, average pot size, seated-player's stack size and hands played per hour.)

High-value tournaments

Ladbrokes Poker hosts monthly $150,000 and $250,000 guaranteed tournaments. These events normally attract lots of players, and the games are generally very loose, at least to begin with. Minor satellites with buy-ins as low as $5.50 are running on a daily basis at Ladbrokes Poker. Ladbrokes also offers satellites to big live events such as the European Poker Tour (EPT) on a regular basis.
