Full House - Do the Best Five Cards Win?
My situation is such:
A full house, jacks full of fours, comes up on the table. One player has a four in his hand and insists that because he has one of the cards in his hand, his full house, still jacks full of fours, is more valid than everyone else's full house. I insist that the best five cards win.

Therefore, the pot is split seeing as no one has anything better than jacks full of fours. Am I right in saying that the best five cards are always the winning hand, or is the other player correct in saying that, because he has one of the cards that makes the full house in his hand, he wins?
Thank you in advance.
Gary
Answer:
Hi Gary,
You are correct.
The best five card poker hand always wins in Texas holdem. Therefore it is a split pot.
