Why He Quit Playing
This is not to defame any sports books in particular but I honnestly think SportsBooks and other Poker sites have holes that have the ability to un-randomize cards and actually control the cards to soak their players for more than just the Buy-Ins. I have played Limit, No Limit and tournaments (Multi and Heads up). Here are the reasons why I think online Poker is rigged:
Top 3 Beginner Rooms
2. Check this out: $10/20 Limit (my first time ever). I have AK, real happy, make a big raise, everyone folds except 2 players. Flop comes out AA2 raimbow. I check, guy1 checks, guy2 bets, I raise, guy1 calls, guy2 folds. So now it's just me and him. Turn: 5, no flush draw (scary) but he couldn't possibly call with a low card I thought. I bet, he raises, I reraise, he calls. River: 3, I bet he raises, I call. Guess what he had. 4-8 offsuit! 'nuff said.
3. Everytime, and I mean 90% of the time when I go all in with a medium-high pair (99, TT, JJ and above) in tournament, someone who calls with Ace-rag always hits an Ace, same goes for King-rag. When I have premium hands (AK, AQ) and go all in, if the other person has a pocket pair, even Deuces, garanteed I lose. I can just watch the cards hit te boards as everything but my cards come out.
4. Just last week I had AA against an AK, showdown. And two Kings hit the boards. The same day I had pocket KK against AK, Ace hits. Pocket QQ against QJ, two Jacks to hit the board.
5. The board is 4h, Js, 8c. I have pocket Aces. I bet (big) he calls. Turn As, I check, he bets, I raise big, big enough for him to fold anything below trips. He calls. River is another spades. He had 2s 3s !
6. And my favorite, how can one lose with TOP QUADS? I think I should've made a seperate topic on this. Flop comes out Th, Td, 9s and I have pocket 10s. The guys to my left bets and everybody calls, me included (slow playing). Turn is a 7d, the same player bet, next player raises, everyone fold but me and one more player. So there is the 4 of us. And the river was a 9d.
So we have: Th, Td, Qs, 7d, 9d. One of the callers had 6d, 8d. I was just getting happy hoping some had a pocket pair to make a boat. Turns out the raiser did have pocket Qs, the initial bettor had pocket Aces. We both got cleaned out. It was $3/6 No Limit by the way. $1200 pot.
7. A person will try to bet you out of the pot with low pair and will still call if you bluff-raised him to make him think you have top pair. Even if he has Jh, 2c and the board is 2s, 3d, 10d, Kh, Ah and you raised him with nothing, he will call with his bad hand. If however you do have a monster hand. For example pocket 4s with a AT4 flop and he bets with a pair of 10s, he will fold your raise.
8. I have made a list of players that no matter what I could never beat. If I raised preflop with high cards and flop comes out something like 4-7-9 offsuit, they will come firing after me reading my AK. But if the preflop raise was pocket 7s and 4-7-9 hits, they will check and check and won't even call minimum chips. How do they know?
But now the list is not enough. SO many times did I gave 2 pair on the turn and got reraised all in only to find out he only had an inside straight draw (4 outs). And that immediately hits on the river. It's like they were betting the river like they know what's coming.
9. Pocket pair vs poket pair: Higher pair always wins, if I have the higher pair, the other person will cath set. If I catch set, the other person will catch four-card flush on the river (meaning only one card used o make flush).
10. Flop is AK6 (no flush draw) I have AT. I go all in to eliminate potential chases for the straight. The assbag with 2-7 offsuit calls. Turn: 2, River:2 ! It's like he knew it.
I have lost over $6000 in 4 days, all river bad beats by stupid moves. I have now deleted the entire Poker software from my PC. Done. Finish. Sure you'll win sometimes but what can you do if someone on the table has control over what's delt and knows everyone's cards.

Answer: This isn't my posting, someone else sent this in. I'm not going to reply to all of it, but I will make a couple points:
1. If you don't feel comfortable in a certain venue, online or offline, don't play there. It's your money, do with it what you want.
2. I personallly trust most sites. I've seen so many werid plays that very little surprises me anymore. It is frustrating, but it doesn't surprise me.
3. If you have played offline for a long time and sit down at the same limit online, the games tend to be far more aggressive -- which isn't necessarily a bad thing. That can leave you with the feeling that the people aren't real players. I think the reason more people are aggressive online is because they see other player's making similar moves and they apply that same strategy indiscriminately. An example of this might be if everyone folds to the button. Online that person is going to automatically raise with any two cards. They do that because they think its correct. One way of looking at it is that there is a lot more misinformation out there that players live by -- mainly aggressiveness.
