Running Aces Sinks My Boat

I was in a tournament recently and doing pretty well. I was in middle position when I was dealt pocket Kings and raised and had one caller.

The flop comes down A K 8 (rainbow).

Im estatic thinking I can take a chunk out of the guy that was one of the chip leaders. The only thing at that moment that could beat me was if he had AA which I doubted because he didn't re-raise earlier.

I bet out about and he goes all in. I quickly call and he turns over A 4 off. GREAT, Im going to double up.

The turn comes out and its and A giving him trips and the additional outs of hitting the bigger boat now.

I didn't have to worry about the bigger boat, the river turns up the last A giving him quads and sending me home.

I guess this is an example that luck still is definitely a factor and big stacks can call where someone may not normally call and get lucky.
