Never Playing KK Again

Not sure if this is a bad beat or not, but kind of a crazy situation. I'm playing online and watching the 05 WSOP. Cloutier is up against some no-name for the braclet in one of the circuit events, and in one particular hand, flops a straight against the other players 6s.

The turn comes a 6, giving him a set. He starts slow playing Cloutier, or so he thinks. River comes no help for the amateur, and of course Cloutier takes the hand down. About an hour after that, I'm still playing online at Pacific Poker, $200 NL, and raise out the BB to $12 with KK. Everyone else folds that hadn't already or just called, and the SB calls…we're heads up. Flop comes down JK10. Set of Kings for me. I decide to slow play a little bit, and a bet out a little less than a pot size bet, and to my amazement, as he is a tight player, the SB calls pretty fast. Now I'm a little worried. The turn comes a 9 of hearts. I bet out $30, and he raises me to $70!! Obviously he has the Q I think to myself. I need the bored to pair on the river...no luck, a 3rd heart comes out. The SB checks, and I check. He turns over AQ. Flopped the straight against my high flopped set.

Right after that, another player raises with KK, the player in front of him reraises, the first guy makes a hard reraise. Other guy calls. Flop comes down 8108. Both all in….player one turns over KK, other players turns over quad 8s.

Like the guy in the other story about getting KK three times in one session, I had about the same thing happen. Got KK twice in about an hour. Hard reraising and all in. Each time another player had AA. I'm never playing KK again!!!

Thanks,

Aaron
