All-in with KK or wait for a better hand?

Question:

Hi, I would like to thank you for your help in the past. I have a question & it leads like this:

Top 3 Beginner Rooms

I have recently had bad beats quite often when playing KK pre-flop. My question is, is it wise to go all-in or call all-in with all my stack or just fold & wait for a better hand.

I would also like to mention that I hate calling all-in preflop & would prefer to wait to see the flop & then take a decision based on what I have.

Thanks,

Sam

Answer:

Hi Sam,

Poker is all about getting your chips in the pot with the favorite hand. KK is favorite to win against all hands but one, and you simply can't wait for AA to go all-in.

It sounds like you are a scared player. You need to trust your hands more and play them hard once you get a premium hand. Just like KK. You should love calling all-ins with KK pre-flop, because most of the time you will win. And that is what counts.
