A Tough Pill to Take

Hello

Prior to this story occurring, I had AK beaten preflop by K4, AA beaten by 6 4 and AQ beat by A9…. Not crazy beats but still bad ones none the less. I am not on tilt, crazier stuff has happened and I needed to focus on the game.

Top 3 Beginner Rooms

50-dollar SNG table. 10 players and the blinds are 50/100. There are 3 players out and the table is playing pretty tight.- infact I am as well! I have 2500 chips and building up slowly but with minimal risk. I am playing aggressive premium hands.- and I get KK. I like the hand but not in love with it by any means.

Not slow playing it I raise to 3x big blinds, it was my average raise that id do with anything. The next guy pushes. He was the only aggressive player and had half the stack I did… so I put him on AJ or AQ and fancied my chances.- so I called. He turned up JJ. And of course he hit a J on the flop and I lost half my stack.

Now I only had 12 Big blinds and was looking for a hand that I could double up on. Luckily (I thought) the very next hand I had KK again. This time I thought id flat call, change it up a bit. The guy next to me raises all in…. just like that. I call. - im short stacked and as I said previously he is very aggressive. He turned up JJ. I thought great.

Flop comes A 10 3…. Turn…. 7…. River J…. Again!

It was a tough pill to take, especially how the table and he thought it was a good play! I just took a break, as I couldn't handle another bad beat.

But because I tend not to play mediocre hands after someone raises it I don't get my own back! - Because these people believe they played well….
