1. When you are at a table what actions or mannerisms do you take special note of?
The first things I try to identify when I sit down at the table are the players that stand out in one way or another. Is a player over aggressive, very loose or extremely passive etc? It is important to adapt to players like this quickly in order to optimize your game and avoid making costly mistakes.
2. What questions do you ask yourself while in a hand?
How does my position affect me?
Who are in the hand?
What potential does my hand has on this given board?
What will it take to win this pot (showing down the best hand, making a bluff etc)?
If I think my chances to win the pot even with a bluff are slim I will usually give up the hand (it is usually costly to go after pots you have small chances to take down).
These are a few examples of the type of questions I ask myself while in a hand. The most important thing is to try to analyze each given situation individually.
3. Bottom pair BB check or bet?
It depends who are in the pot. If I think a bet will win me the pot I bet. But remember that it is dangerous to commit too much in the pot in this bad position with such a weak hand.
4. When to go all in tourney or not with short stack?
When to go all in with a short stack in a tournament is discussed here.
5. Best way to spot bluff?
To spot a bluff you need to have a good read on your opponent. For me the most obvious bluffs are usually when an opponent act in a way that makes little sense to me in the given situation. But be careful, it can also mean that your opponent plays irrational to put you off or maybe he is just a bad player. Read more about bluffs here.
6. Small pocket pair middle position with or without raise prior to your seat what to do?
Depends on the size of my chip stack, who's in the pot, what part of the tournament I am in etc. But if I am first to enter the pot I will usually do so with a raise.
7. When chip leading see many pots few pots?
I always like to play many hands when I have a large stack. This both means that I see the flop a lot and that I raise often pre-flop to try to steal the blinds.
